Meet Our Team.
Favorite exercise: Waterski Thigh
I discovered Bar Method while living in Los Angeles. I had been a runner, kick boxer and spinner, but after one Bar Method class was immediately hooked! I loved the way it made me feel, how my feet and knees did not hurt, and how it changed my body. After moving to San Francisco for a fundraising job I became a Bar Method instructor. I fell in love with teaching, and started to pursue my dream of owning my own studio. I chose Nashville because it was a fun, vibrant, up and coming city, and it immediately felt like home. I met my husband, John, a Nashville native, about a month after moving here. John has a five year old daughter, Sophie, and together we have a one and a half year old son, Jack. We love exploring new restaurants in Nashville, taking family trips to the beach, and spending time at Center Hill Lake.
Favorite Exercise- Diagonal Seat
I moved to Nashville from North Carolina in 2007. I started taking Bar Method classes as soon as Carrie opened and loved the vibe and people that I met. I started teaching Bar Method in early 2012. I am also the Executive Director of the Thisbe and Noah Scott Foundation, Inc. whose mission is to save lives by promoting research, awareness and support for children and families affected by pediatric neuromuscular diseases. When I’m not at Bar Method or running a non-profit, my 3 wild boys keep my husband and I busy and entertained!
Favorite exercise - Pretzel
I am a Nashville native who moved back to town in 2012 after a number of years in Charleston, SC. In Ma,y I completed my Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University and am the 7th and 8th grade counselor at Donelson Middle School. Outside of work I am an active member of Second Harvest Foodbank’s Friends of the Foodbank steering committee, love exploring Nashville’s neighborhoods and restaurants, and watching Clemson football! I found the Bar Method not long after returning to Nashville while trying different fitness studios. The engaging and knowledgeable instructors and challenging routines kept me coming back!
Favorite Exercise: Leg Dancing
I was raised in California and moved to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt, where I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in education. I taught and tutored for nearly ten years, during which time I married my husband Chad. Fast forward many years later... I have been blessed with three precious daughters, and a new opportunity to teach through the Bar Method. I am thrilled to be part of such an inspiring company, and work alongside such a dedicated group of trainers and clients!
Favorite exercise - Pretzel with the ball
I discovered The Bar Method while travel nursing in California. My first bar class was at the Point Loma Bar Method studio in San Diego, CA, and from there I attended the Marina Del Rey studio in Los Angeles, CA. When I moved back to Tennessee I became completely exercise depressed until I could move to Nashville and join this wonderful team! My personal life includes a beautiful baby girl, Eliotte Emmeline, and a charming husband, Dustin. My nursing career is on hold while I obtain my masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner and work as Bar Method Nashville’s Studio Manager while also teaching. What can I say, I LOVE the Bar Method Nashville!
Favorite Bar Method Exercise – Arabesque
I am an Ohio native who works as a financial analyst at Cardinal Health in Nashville, Tennessee. Though heavily immersed in the corporate world, I work hard to maintain a work-life balance and healthy daily regimen. I have found great motivation and fulfillment at The Bar Method. Its maximized fitness results along with its friendly atmosphere contribute greatly to my wholesome lifestyle. I also enjoy time with family, travel and country music.
Favorite Exercise - a toss up between Waterski Seat & Back Dancing!
I am a native Nashvillian who loves it so much I’ve never left (Go Vandy!). By day, I am Miss Osborne, 2nd grade teacher. I have always been active and interested in health and fitness. Always looking for ways to improve my fitness, my sister and I decided to commit to the new member monthly special. We quickly became hooked and attended as many classes as we could fit in each week. I was thrilled when Carrie asked if I would like to audition to become an instructor. I loved the community feel at The Bar Method and knew my energetic teacher personality would help me succeed in training. I love being an instructor so I can teach and inspire others to challenge themselves!
Favorite exercise - All thigh work
I grew up in Sun Valley, ID so I am a mountain girl at heart and when we get back there, I love to ski, hike, backpack, etc.- anything outside! My husband, Andy and I met in San Francisco where we lived for 7 years before moving to San Diego and then to Nashville (he grew up here). We‘ve been in Nashville since 2008 and we have two young kids, Grady (6) and Phoebe (4). Nashville is home now and we love it! I was introduced to Bar by a friend and it only took a few classes before I was hooked. I’ve done every form of exercise under the sun and I am convinced that Bar Method is the most fun and the most effective for toning and maintaining a lean strong body.
